This page explains what cookies and equivalent technologies (such as localStorage) we use on jumpnex.pro, why we use them, and how you can change your mind. It complements our Privacy Policy, and uses everyday language wherever possible.
What a cookie actually is
A cookie is a tiny file your browser stores when you visit a website. It contains a name, a value, and an expiry. Some cookies are deleted as soon as you close the browser; others are kept for a set period. The site that placed the cookie can read it back the next time you visit, which is how things like “remember me” work.
What we set on this site
We are deliberate about this. Jumpnex.pro uses one strictly-necessary entry and a single preference entry. We do not run advertising trackers, third-party social-network beacons, or behavioural analytics on this site.
1. Strictly necessary — CSRF protection
When you submit our contact form, your browser holds a short-lived PHP session that contains a token used to verify the request really came from a person on our website (and not a script forging the submission). The session ends when you close the browser; the token is rotated on every successful submission.
- Name: PHPSESSID (server-side session identifier)
- Stored where: First-party cookie set by jumpnex.pro
- Lifetime: Session-only (deleted on browser close)
- Why: Without this, our contact form cannot defend against cross-site request forgery.
2. Preference — cookie-consent choice
If you accept or reject the cookie banner, we record your decision so that we do not show the banner again. This entry is in localStorage, not a traditional cookie, but it works the same way for you.
- Name: bk_cookie_choice_v1
- Stored where: First-party localStorage on jumpnex.pro
- Lifetime: 12 months from the day you choose
- Why: So we don’t pester you with the same banner on every page load.
What we do not use
- No Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok pixel or other advertising trackers.
- No social-share buttons that load content from third-party servers.
- No A/B testing tool or heatmap recorder on the public site.
Changing your choice
You can update your decision at any time. Click the small cog icon in the bottom-left corner of any page to bring back the banner and choose again. You can also clear your browser’s cookies and storage for jumpnex.pro at any time — the next page load will start the conversation fresh.
About third-party fonts
We use Fraunces and Inter from Google Fonts to keep typography consistent. When your browser fetches a font file, Google’s servers see your IP address briefly. Google has stated that font requests are not used for advertising profiling. If you would prefer to avoid this entirely, your browser’s “Strict” tracking-protection setting will block third-party font loading; the site is designed to fall back gracefully to system fonts.
If anything changes
If we add or remove a cookie or storage entry, this page is updated and the “last reviewed” date is moved forward. Substantive changes are also flagged on the homepage for at least two weeks.
